You should know what was traded along the triangular trade, how slaves were acquired, why slaves were acquired, the impact the slave trade had on the continent of Africa, how many people were sent to the Americas, countries that participated in the slave trade, time span of the slave trade, reasons for colonization, and the treatment of indigenous people during colonization.

Wednesday

In class, we will read, take notes, and color a map of Africa's physical features.

Thursday

Using photos and a climatic map, students will infer which photos belong to which physical region.  Students will also deduce why the native architecture is different and compare styles from different regions.  Students will have to apply their knowledge of geographic processes (wind and ocean currents) to determine why certain climate zones are located where they are.
